So now that the boat is in a new location and she has survived all the terrible weather we had up here, I reckon it's time to get some stairs fixed so I don't have to climb up and down that ladder anymore. It's just a simple frame that I threw together with some scrap wood - but it wasn't very stable, so this week I'm just adding a bit more to it to make sure it doesn't fall apart. It's fair to say that she has definitely enchanted me, and I want to bring her back onto the water with some simple restorations, plus add some modern items to make this a very live-able and enjoyable sailboat! I bought this boat second hand for $500, because I figured the sailboat was far too beautiful not to be restored. I love getting my hands dirty and doing DIY projects. So if you love sailing, sailing boats, restoring old boats, or just want to learn more about how to repair an old fiberglass sailboat like this one, stick around and follow my adventures as I attempt to restore a sailboat for the first time.
