Spring 2023 Evening Lecture Series: Harry Cooper: "Philip Guston's Urgency," recorded on March 18, 2023. Harry Cooper is senior curator of modern art at the National Gallery in Washington. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard in 1997 with a dissertation on Mondrian and worked at the Fogg Art Museum for a decade before joining the Gallery in 2008. He has organized or co-organized exhibitions on Mondrian, Medardo Rosso, Frank Stella, and Stuart Davis. His latest show, a Philip Guston retrospective, has just opened in Washington.
