Poseidon the King of the Sea had a daughter named Ursula who he loved dearly. He told her many stories about how she would someday be the greatest ruler and Queen of Atlantica. He made a promise to her that no matter what, she would be his successor to the throne. A few years later Poseidon had another child named Triton and the birth of her brother changed everything for Ursula. She thought she had a close relationship with her brother growing up but she never realised his treacherous intent towards her. Throughout the years Ursula noticed that Poseidon started to spend more time with Triton and barely any time with her. He stopped telling her stories about her future reign as Queen which casted a shadow of doubt in Ursula’s mind about her dreams to rule Atlantica. The time had finally come to crown the successor to the throne and on Poseidons death bed he makes a decision that changes the course of Ursula’s life forever… In my Origin Song Series I explore the origin stories of villains, heroes and all characters in between!
