This is the first step of the basic Basque version of the Fandango, broken down, then danced first to slowish waltz music (Thijsjes Doopwals, from the album Phosphur Bronze by Snaarmaarwaar (their name means Strange But True in English, by the way) and then a bit faster to fandango music sung by Dani Detammaecker but slowed down using Audacity; and finally, to a tune sung by the acapella group A Fanfare of Strumpets from their album Truly Scrumptious. You will notice that I don't keep my arms up in the air all the time while I'm practising slowly - but when this is danced 'for real', your arms should be up in the air all the time, as if you are a tulip-shaped glass being filled with sunshine like fine wine. You can click your fingers (or play castanets) too, if you like, though it's not obligatory. The impressive clicking in the final section is in the recording of the music, I don't have invisible castanets :-)
