76% of primary bone cancer cases in the UK are misdiagnosed. Bone cancer / sarcoma is a level-three priority learning objective, despite it having the same incidence as bacterial meningitis. Bone Cancer Research Trust held a webinar, along by Krista Bose (medical student and former osteosarcoma patient) where we provided attendees with knowledge on the presenting symptoms and referral pathways for primary bone cancers. By increasing awareness and understanding we can increase speed of diagnosis, improve outcomes and save more lives.
