The past few days I’ve been thinking about whether I should even upload something like this here. “Indak” loosely means dancing. Algorithm-wise it would probably make more sense if I stuck to one lane/genre and just honed that. But that’s not really me. I love all kinds of music; happy, sad, weird, experimental. If it makes me nod my head or feel something in my chest, that’s groove to me. I don’t think groove has to be happy. Sometimes it’s heavy, sometimes it’s subtle; it’s still a groove tho. There's a lot of sad songs that ssssslaps, no? This channel is exactly that — the universal act of the groove. Even when it hurts a little. I told my therapist recently that I was just a sad person by nature. Like if I were in Inside Out, Sadness would be running the control room lol & I was okay with that. It taught me a lot about life. & funnily enough, right after I said that, I started realizing there’s a really high chance I wasn’t “naturally sad.” I was probably stuck in a really long comedown and over time that state just became my identity & I have to say it's 90% because of my girlfriend, broski really made me see colors again. I carried that for almost 10 years, man. & right after that conversation, I think I finally let it go. My nervous system is starting to feel calmer. My head feels clearer. & I'm relieved. I made this playlist exactly three years ago. I used to listen to it when I wanted to lean into and really feel the sadness — but also to remind myself that I’d be alright. That it passes. If you’re in something heavy right now, I hope this lets you feel what it is that you need to feel. _______________________________________ Dedicated to the universal act of the groove Indak is a sonic shelter. It’s a shared frequency built for a community that finds refuge in the groove.
