LAFD / 12-25-2012 Los Angeles Firefighters first on scene at M.L.K. Jr. and Denker had smoke and fire showing from the market and auto-bay section of a one story gas station. Firefighters making entry encountered heavy smoke and had to contend with two guard dogs adjacent to the well involved structure. A distraught women showed up unexpectedly to recover the dogs during the firefight but one of the dogs managed to escape the fire early on. The late night blaze was brought under control in approximately 40 minutes with handlines and the gas pumps did not catch fire. There were no reported injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
