Cameron Carpenter plays Die Meistersinger on The International Touring Organ

Cameron Carpenter performs his own transcription of Richard Wagner's prelude to Act 1 of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg on The International Touring Organ at Tanglewood. Cameron had just finished practicing for his concert with the Boston Symphony Orchestra when a group of young musicians entered to meet Cameron after overhearing him practice. Never having met Cameron and nervous at first, they were soon at ease as Cameron welcomed them to the stage, gave them a tour of the instrument, allowed them to play, and demonstrated for them the incredible capabilities of his International Touring Organ. Their pure joy and amazement is clear to see. Recorded July 9, 2015 on the Koussevitzky Music Shed stage at the Tanglewood Music Center.
