In this talk, Jennifer fox talks about her experience with child sexual abuse and how survivors often create a narrative in order to cope with childhood trauma. While drawing on her own life, she discusses the role of constructing memories and reshaping self's identity to survive the abuse. Jennifer is the writer, director and producer of movie 'The Tale' - a movie on the same subject. Jennifer is an internationally acclaimed producer, director, writer and camerawoman. Fox recently completed her first fiction feature as director and producer of Emmy–nominated film The Tale - working with with an outstanding all-star cast, including Laura Dern and Ellen Burstyn. The film is based on her own experience with child sexual abuse and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim, with IndieWire calling it, “an immense, brave, and genuinely earth-shaking self-portrait”.
