#91 Life Of Sutera Utama After Malaysia-Singapore Fully Open (Johor Bahru) 馬新邊境開放後的五福城 (柔佛新山) My name is Andy and I am a Malaysian Chinese. I was born, grew up and studied in Malaysia and spent my entire 44 years in Malaysia, except for about 11 years that I was away for study in England and work in Hong Kong and Singapore. I have also been to South Korea, Taiwan and China for 50 times over the past 4 years for work and I really enjoy and appreciate the different cultures and food in different parts of the world. Before the Covid-19 epidemic, we could see many cars with Singapore license plates on the roads of Johor Bahru on weekends or holidays, and the drivers and passengers may be Singaporeans or Malaysians working in Singapore. For them, Johor Bahru is a good place to relax, enjoy delicious food and shop. The Covid-19 epidemic has closed the border between Malaysia and Singapore for two years, which is the first time in the history of Malaysia and Singapore. Finally, on April 1 this year, the Malaysia-Singapore border is officially opened. The familiar Singapore license plates and crowded roads are beginning to appear on the roads of Johor Bahru. Traffic is also slowly building up in the bustling Sutera Utama business district. I believe that Sutera Utama business district will soon be able to restore the bustling scene of the past.
