“They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!’” — John 12:13 (NIV) Today is Palm Sunday, the day we remember and celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. As crowds welcomed Him by laying down palm branches and shouting “Hosanna,” they honored Him as King — yet many did not fully understand the kind of King He came to be. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the final days leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection. It’s a time for us to reflect on His journey to the cross and what it means to truly follow Him. As we continue our series, “What I Love About Jesus,” we invite you to reflect with us during this meaningful season. With Easter just one week away, Pastor Scott Swanson will be sharing a message about what it means to be a fan versus a follower of Jesus — and how that difference impacts the way we live out our faith in everyday life.
