Dear Ones, I am beginning a playlist of devotional videos that focus on praying the Psalms after the fashion prescribed by the founder monasticism in the West in the 6th Century. My Psalty Catholic YouTube channel was started as a complement to my Oblate Reflections blog. This Praying The Day-Hours With Saint Benedict devotional/educational playlist is being produced and published in a spirit of ecumenism to hopefully encourage and assist the broader cross-denominational Body of Christ. The breviary that I am using is The Monastic Diurnal or DAY HOURS of the Monastic Breviary ACCORDING TO THE HOLY RULE OF SAINT BENEDICT. It is an English translation of the Day Hours from the Breviarium Monasticum published at Bruges in 1925 after extensive revision and restoration by its Benedictine editors.
