Golden Eagles! Red Deer! A stunning winter walk up Beinn Mhòr, North Uist, Outer Hebrides.

3rd January 2021. Another Trig Bag, this time Beinn Mhòr on the island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. We drive there and park up next to Loch an Sticir, home to Dun an Sticir which is about 3,000 years old. As we follow the Hebridean Way up towards Beinn Mhòr we see birds of prey - are they Eagles? Knowing my luck they'll be crows or something ;) Then we get to see a herd of deer that are keeping their eyes on us. At the top - after ascending just 190m, we are treated to STUNNING views all around, to Uist, Berneray, the Isle of Harris, and the Isle of Skye.
