Stain Glass with Alcohol Inks

This video stains glass using the DIY EVERCLEAR ALCOHOL INKS that we made in our VERY FIRST EPISODE! So, if you didn't see that video, be sure to check it out! This is a GREAT craft project! I recommend staining glass that has raised and recessed areas to provide variety in the look of your finished piece! If you don't have glass around the house, second hand pieces are readily available at local thrift stores and make excellent and inexpensive pieces, plus you'll be sparing something from the junk bin and giving it a new look that you can add to your decor! Any type of glass should work! I alternated using at least two colors that are not complementary because colors that are opposite one another on the color wheel make brown - unless that's the look you are going for! Sealing your piece with an acrylic gloss spraypaint will protect your stain for many years. It is waterproof, but not alcohol proof. So, sealing your piece adds extra durability and protects it from wear and tear, scratching or accidental alcohol splatters! If you don't have an air blower, simply blow through a straw to move the inks around. Likewise, if you don't have a heat gun, just use a hair dryer to achieve the same effect!
