Sometimes you can be at the right place at the right time. How lucky were we when after our arrival at Houston Hobby Airport, we discovered that there was a true classic Lockheed L-188A Electra on the field! The Air Spray Electra had just came in that day on her ferry flight back home from her mission in the heart of South America, and the best part was that she would leave again the following morning! So, alarms set and after a night filled with excitement we headed to the parking spot where the crew were already busy preparing her for today's flight. This grand old lady C-FVFH started her career as a flying engine test bed for General Motors, after which she flew for several airlines before ending up with Air Spray as a fire bomber.
