CORDA VIVA Ann Vancoillie & Rui Salgado Corda Viva is an international duo bringing together violinist Ann Vancoillie and mandolinist, bassist and cellist Rui Salgado. Rooted in Brazilian choro, jazz and improvisation, their music unfolds as a vivid dialogue between rhythm, melody and virtuosity, blending classical depth with spontaneous expression. ​LINE-UP FLEXIBILITY Corda Viva is conceived primarily as a duo, allowing for an intimate and refined musical dialogue. At the same time, the project remains open to expansion. Depending on the context, venue or artistic proposal, the duo can be presented in an extended formation, with the addition of instruments such as guitar, piano, double bass (Jim Monneau) and drums. This flexibility allows the repertoire to adapt organically to different settings, from chamber-like performances to a full band format.
