When you go off the grid with the Expedition 3.0 All-Metal Off-Road Trailer, the fun starts where the road ends. The Expedition Overland Camping trailer is designed and built for the most rugged of explorers who don’t have time to slow down for difficult terrain. The Expedition 3.0 off-road overland trailer is constructed entirely of metal and composites, from its steel mainframe to its uncompromising aluminum storage compartments. In other words, no wood, no plastic, just 1,700 pounds of digitally welded compact versatility. The Expedition overlanding trailer features a 50-degree departure angle and independent suspension. The Expedition squaredrop trailer is topped off with an integrated aluminum roof rack for loading bikes, rooftop tents, and other outdoor equipment. When Off Grid Trailers™ boasts about its no-wood construction process, the Expedition’s spacious cabin interior is no exception. Sitting above an aluminum and composite subfloor and enclosed in an environment-proof one-piece aluminum skin wrap-around roof, the cabin of the Expedition trailer features rigid foam insulation and a 10-speed reversible roof fan to ensure the climate inside your trailer is comfortable regardless of the weather outside. The Expedition trailer also comes equipped with 4 USB ports and interior LED lighting and includes a fully upgraded electrical system that features an accessible and removable wire track for easy electrical wiring access. Although the Expedition is designed to be as compact as possible, the amount of storage available is anything but limited – including 23 cubic feet of interior storage and 13 cubic feet of rear compartment storage. The Expedition 3.0 trailer features a 31-gallon CSA-approved freshwater tank, a dual bank smart shore power charger, Zamp solar-ready port, and much more. We took our popular Expedition 2.0 and made it even better by improving the components and systems on board. Key areas where you will see upgrades include the electrical system, kitchen, heating & water. The electrical system has been upgraded to include a dual breaker system which isolates your 12V system as well as your 110V Systems. We have moved exclusively to lithium-ready pure sine inverters which also allow for quicker charging. In the kitchen, we have moved to a higher output RVIA-compliant Dometic dual burner cooktop and installed safety shut-off valves to automatically shut off the propane to the stove when the kitchen is stowed away. The new optional Truma Vario Heat furnace is significantly quieter & more efficient. We have also upgraded the water system to take advantage of the Truma Aqua Go Plus Hot Water on Demand system along with an upgraded shower system.
