Co-Founder of Amoeba Music record Stores, Mark Weinstein, agreed to sit down for an interview for my "Business of Nostalgia" project. Business of Nostalgia is a short documentary produced and directed by Mark DiNatale. This film looks at why we as humans look back on fonder eras and it is also an exploration of nostalgia based businesses. I am currently interviewing people in many aspects of nostalgia from Mr. Weinstein to Youtube Guru Cherry Dollface, to vintage guitar shop owners, film professors, burlesque performers, cos-players, photographers, soda shop and arcade owners. It is a fun, fascinating look at the people and businesses that help us look back. How they got there, what inspires them, and what are their hopes for the future of their businesses.
