Simona Soverini, PhD, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, highlights the importance of testing for BCR::ABL kinase mutations in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and discusses how they impact resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKis). She mentions traditional single-cell sequencing methods of mutational testing, as well as more developed next-generation sequencing (NGS) and digital polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
