Through her English language arts lesson plan, Ms. Ellis used project-based learning to engage her students and inspire creativity as they wrote and filmed their own short story resolutions, using 21st century technology. To begin, Ms. Ellis introduced the students to the idea of what a plot is and presented the five different elements needed to successfully create a story using Interactive White Boards. Students then worked in groups using computers to research, define and discuss the five elements of plot.
