The Arc of Attrition is one of the biggest winter 100 mile ultramarathons in the UK and it just so happens to be run right on my doorstep! The Arc is a special race organised by MudCrew Events and it's very close to my heart. I lined up on the start line of the inaugural Arc of Attrition back in 2015 with around 55 other runners looking for an challenge and boy did we get one! Since then the race has grown and I've run the Arc a total of 4 times. Unfortunately, my last effort in 2019 was a disappointing DNF at around 60 miles. There was no way I could leave this awesome race like that so I've decided to pull up my big boy pants and give it another crack in 2023.
