Eric passed away early this morning after being diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism. Not only because it was very personal to me, but - even though the foundations are similar - every aspect of the Eric Hofmann method is essentially the polar opposite to how I pack, heat manage, poke holes, tools I use, and how I go about and teach how to pack and prepare a bowl... For example, I hadn’t used a oyster fork to pack a bowl in 14 years. I hadn’t touched silver tabs in 16 years since Exotica’s were released onto the market. I had to rely solely on memory and fundamental skill I’ve garnered over the last 2 decades. I really hope you enjoy this video and remember Eric and the great advancements and innovations he’s brought to hookah, single-handedly and by his own rules. I think that’s what I loved most about Eric - his unwavering spirit and great intellect - which he used to transform hookah completely and utterly, from the ground up.
