Dyadic Data Analysis: Between Dyad Moderation Interaction Approach in SEM using Lavaan (HDFS 6583)

In this video, I go over between dyad moderation using the interaction approach within a structural equation modeling framework using lavaan. We estimate the between dyad interaction as well as discuss three way interaction using the distinguishing variable. Specifically, we test the interaction between depressive symptom and whether or not the couple has a child and then constrain the interactions to be equal across gender to determine if gender moderates the interaction's prediction of variance in the dependent variable (e.g., relationship quality) In a previous video (   • Dyadic Data Analysis: Binary and continuou...  ), I conducted these same analyses using a multiple group SEM and both methods are valid and produce nearly identical findings.
