And I also I run a nonprofit organization called Human Connection Arts, and we produce an event called Body Painting Day. And coming up this Sunday, July 23rd, we're having our ten year anniversary of New York City Body Painting Day. And then I started just painting with other artists because people were calling me up and they're like, Oh, this is really cool. I'd love to paint with you. And I was like, Oh, sure. Golub interacting with passersby STORYLINE: On Sunday, over 50 everyday people of all shapes, sizes, genders, ethnicities, and ages will get completely nude in public to celebrate the 10th and final Body Painting Day in New York City. This year's theme is "The Artist's Voice." The painters are encouraged to share their unique vision with the world. Organizer Andy Golub announced that this year's event will be his last. As puts he it, it is time to "move on and clear that plate." Over the years, NYC Bodypainting Day has taken place across Manhattan from Columbus Circle to Times Square. Despite run ins with the police, Golub and his fellow artists have continued to show up to paint bodies publicly to reiterate the fact that it is legal to do so.
