JAVA ROADTRIP PT.2 (BATU KARAS, BANDUNG, DIENG) - The Way Overland - Episode 27

We arrived in Batu Karas in last weeks episode and we're still here! The chilled out surf vibe and good camp spot made it hard for us to leave! Our time here coincided with the lead up to Ramadan, which meant that the beach became extremely busy with locals coming here to celebrate before their month of fasting begun. To escape the craziness of the beach when it was busy we walked the back streets and checked out the rice fields and went jumping off the tsunami watch tower with our new friends. After a couple of weeks here it was time to move on. Next stop, Bandung. We'd planned to catch up with Yani and Rolly, who we'd met back in Flores, as well as get some car maintenance done. We'd received a message from a guy named Randy (who was the first and only person in Indonesia that we'd seen with a Troopy!) and he'd offered for us to bring the car to his workshop for a service. Thanks Randy! With our list of things to do on the car ticked off it was time to hit the road again. The plan was to drive back east towards Semarang via Dieng. We didn't end up leaving Bandung until late in the afternoon so the plan was to stop at one of the rest stops on the toll road to sleep and continue driving to Dieng in the morning. This was certainly not one of our amazing camp spots as we were sharing it with hundreds of big, dirty rats! Thankfully the amazing camp spots which we've been treated to make up for these ones! In the next video we arrive in Dieng and do a early morning hike to watch the sunrise over 8 volcanoes and then check out the Dieng area. Thanks for watching! PS does anyone read this?
