Opening scene sees a gun-slinging card player accusing his opponent of cheating. Wonderfully written, directed and acted scene that perfectly sets the tone of the whole Butch and Sundance relationship. Brilliant, unforced chemistry that resonated long after the credits roll. Not forgetting Burt Bacharach's "Raindrops keep falling on my head." (Also, the attention to detail that paints Sundance as not only a fast hand but a wily character. See how he assesses the room with his eyes, and shoots only five of his six rounds - keeps one in the chamber so he's still deadly - when showing the card player just how fast he can draw and shoot) Dir.
