Dr. Khadija Tahiris a graduate of King Edwards Medical College and was trained in psychiatry. In 2008, she decided to branch into psychotherapy. She is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Practitioner, but her niche is trauma. Dr. Khadija has worked with acid burn survivors, earthquake victims and victims of terror. In 2010, she was accredited as an EMDR Consultant by the University of Birmingham. In 2019 Dr. Khadija Haider was accredited as an EMDR trainer by the EMDR Standards Committee UK and Europe. She is the first and only EMDR trainer of Pakistan at the moment. Dr. Khadija Haider is an active member of Training and Standards Accreditation committee EMDR-Asia. Currently, she holds the post of President of EMDR -Pakistan Association, Ex-Member special committee to implement Anti Rape Ordinance in Pakistan. At MM Talks, Dr. Khadija speaks on different kinds of trauma experienced by individuals at different stages of life. Keeping her focus on EMDR therapy, she explains how its goal is to activate resilience and strengthen one’s mind in order to take charge of their lives.
