Today, we're checking out a hotel that's seriously shaking things up here in Bangkok. If you're tired of those super formal, stuffy luxury hotels, you're going to love this. We just stayed at the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong. It's actually a Marriott brand hotel, but trust me, it's got its own totally quirky, fun, and playful style. It was a total surprise! First up, getting here is ridiculously easy. If you're taking the BTS, just jump off at Chidlom station. Head out through Exit 6 and walk straight past the Big C Supercenter. You'll see The Market Bangkok right in front. The Moxy entrance is right next to the Big C building, and you'll see the sign really clearly. They even have staff right there ready to greet you. The entrance itself? Super cool. I probably took like, a hundred photos just to get one good shot! Now, the lobby isn't on the ground floor. You gotta take the lift up to the 9th floor. And seriously, when those lift doors open... wow! It feels like you've stepped right into a living Scala Theatre. It's incredible! The check-in counter is designed like a movie ticket booth, and it's also where the bar is. You guys, if you love taking pictures, make sure you have a ton of space on your phone because there are amazing spots everywhere. I spent almost 15 minutes just snapping pics before I even properly checked in! Check-in was quick, they gave me a welcome drink, and the staff were really cute, plus the bartender was apparently handsome! Alright, let's talk about the room. I stayed up on the 26th floor in what they call a Moxy Queen room. I'm guessing it was around 18 square meters. Yeah, sounds kinda small, right? But honestly, the way they used the space is like, "god-level". It's done so well! The queen-size bed is super comfy. There's this cool little corner with a big window that gives you a view that feels like you're looking at art in a gallery. Loads of cool details in the room too. I absolutely loved the makeup mirror with a really bright light and, yes, a powerful Panasonic hairdryer (my frizzy hair needs this!). The soap, shampoo, and conditioner smelled amazing, like proper premium stuff. The decorations are cute, and get this, there's even a real, working dial phone! And on the mirror? They wrote a handwritten welcome message. Little touches like that really make you feel like the hotel cares. Everything you need is there. You get a mini-fridge, coffee maker, tea, and free water. The slippers are bright and colourful, and the bedside table even has a cool little stand for a teddy bear. Pop open the drawer, and there's a safe. Instead of a bulky closet, they used this iron rack on the wall to hang clothes, which totally saves space and looks kinda cool and industrial. Moving on from the room, there are other areas to explore. Down on the lobby floor, the 9th floor, there's a kinda hidden Co-Working Space. It's small but has everything you need. It's divided into three parts: There's a collection zone with old phones, tape players, records, and cool vintage movie posters – great for photos or just chilling. Then there's an activity zone that can fit about 20 people, good if you need to work or do a workshop. It's got power outlets and a printer. And a small meeting zone for about 10 people with a TV screen and strong WiFi. Right next to it, there's even a free ironing room you can use! Plus, they have lockers in different sizes, which is awesome if you arrive early or check out but wanna look around more before you leave. You also have to check out the Mingle Area and the Fitness zone. The gym is open 24/7 and has loads of equipment – cardio, free weights, even stuff for boxing. Then there's a game zone with a snooker table, Foosball, and... yes, Air Hockey! If you grew up in the 90s, you know you gotta play Air Hockey! There are also lots of comfy spots just to hang out, take pictures, or chat. And definitely step outside onto the Outdoor Terrace. It's nice and breezy out there, and you get a great view of Bangkok in the evening. Okay, so that covers the main areas and the room for now. I know what you're thinking... what about the food?!
