On April 11, Argonne National Laboratory, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy and Li-Bridge, hosted Bridging the Gap: Advancing America’s Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain II, a virtual discussion on the topic of non-lithium battery technologies. While advanced lithium-based batteries will play an outsized role in the energy transition, non-lithium technologies are expected to be critical for specific applications and their market share is expected to increase in the intermediate/long term. Some of these battery technologies have a high technology and manufacturing readiness level and are primed for domestic production in large-scale manufacturing facilities. 00:00 Introduction 01:27 Welcome and overview: Venkat Srinivasan 08:12 Presentation: Dave Howell 27:47 Presentation: Ben Shrager 44:01 Presentation: Eric Shields 55:28 Presentation: Bill Acker 1:14:02 Polling session 1:46:37 Closing remarks: Dave Howell Learn more at: https://www.anl.gov/li-bridge Still haven't subscribed to Argonne National Laboratory on YouTube? ►► http://bit.ly/2Vyzwvm Join us on Facebook http://bit.ly/ArgonneFacebook Follow us on Twitter http://bit.ly/ArgonneTwitter We’re on Instagram! http://bit.ly/ArgonneInstagram Connect with us on LinkedIn http://bit.ly/ArgonneLinkedIn ABOUT ARGONNE Argonne National Laboratory seeks solutions to pressing national problems in science and technology. The nation’s first national laboratory, Argonne conducts leading-edge basic and applied scientific research in virtually every scientific discipline. Argonne researchers work closely with researchers from hundreds of companies, universities, and federal, state and municipal agencies to help them solve their specific problems, advance America’s scientific leadership and prepare the nation for a better future. With employees from more than 60 nations, Argonne is managed by UChicago Argonne, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science is the single largest supporter of basic research in the physical sciences in the United States and is working to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
