There are already some AI upscale videos of this series but, I wanted to see how far I could take it and challenge myself a little. Okay! Finally done with the Shout! DVDs! Since the Shot! DVDs seem to have slower video in general in Season 3 I'm skipping them entirely (except using their subtitles to save time). The episodes are like a min and a half longer and the voices/music are deeper in tone, does not spark joy. So, starting with the original ADV published DVDs...... -Same de-interlacing I used in Season 1 and Season 2 -Split the ADV DVD video into separate episodes -Ran it through 2 different AI models (one to upscale by 450% and a second to pretty it up) -Changed the fps to 119.88 (double the 59.94 created with the de-interlacing process with no duplicate frames replaced to avoid soap opera smoothness) -Fixed some subtitle timing and coding errors (got the subtitles from the Shout! DVDs individual episodes) Remastered the audio track (the ADV DVDs have a stereo 2 channel track that happened to be encoded with Dolby Surround..... I decoded The Matrix with some fancy audio software and re-encoded it into a proper 5.1 audio track that doesn't require a Pro Logic decoder) ---- HARD.... But worth it :D *** Note about the audio!!! I added both the 5.1 channel audio track and a 2 channel audio track, it will only play 5.1 if you're using YouTube from a Smart TV App with an appropriate sound system, otherwise, inside a computer browser, it will only use the 2 channel track. However, you can be fancy and use MPC to play YouTube videos in 5.1 and skip the web browser if you want to hear it in surround on a computer. Both tracks on these video files will be the remastered version regardless and should sound better than the DVD at least. Stay Frosty. "ReBoot" is copyright to Shout!
