This video was recorded during FOSDEM 2023. ELISA Project was represented by Philipp Ahmann (Bosch) Chair of ELISA Project TSC at FOSDEM 2023. In this video, you'll get an overview of the ELISA project, its goals, and technical strategies. The ELISA project focuses on making it easier to build and certify Linux-based safety-critical applications. This talk will also give you insights into the methodologies and tools used, the challenges faced, and why different puzzle pieces are necessary to enable Linux in safety-critical applications. The ELISA project addresses safety-critical systems that could result in loss of human life, significant property damage, or environmental damage in the event of failure. The ELISA members work together to define and maintain a common set of tools and processes that help companies demonstrate that a specific Linux-based system meets the necessary safety requirements for certification. The working groups in ELISA focus on Linux Features for Safety-Critical Systems, Software Architecture, Open Source Engineering Process, Tool Investigation, and Code Improvement. In addition, there are vertical use case working groups dealing with Automotive, Medical, and Aerospace. This talk will leave you with an understanding of where the ELISA project stands today and what comes next. Attendees will get insights into the different work groups, their interaction, and contributions. You'll also learn about the challenges of enabling Linux in safety-critical applications and why ELISA is essential for the success of such projects. Source: https://fosdem.org/2023/schedule/even...
