Every Melbourne winter my inbox gets flooded with people struggling with water in their cpap tube and other humidification problems so i thought i would do a little video just explaining how it all works and what we can do if we're having problems with our CPAP humidification. CPAP Humidification is an important part of CPAP Therapy for sleep apnea and snoring. Understanding what humidification is and how to change the humidification settings of your CPAP Machine can dramatically improve your CPAP Therapy and also help with some of those annoying side effects like dry sore throats, irritable sinuses, cracked sore lips, blood noses and other undesirable problems. Humidification though can also bring challenges especially in cold climates where the cold air can cause condensation and water to build up in your cpap tube. In this video i explain what humidification is, why we use it in cpap therapy and what to do if you're having problems with humidification.
