So after seeing a new market stall pop up in Wednesday's Boston Market selling a load of model railway stuff in the Cattle Market Car Park amongst the additional market stalls that only appear on Wednesdays with the auction, I found a rare @HornbyModelRailways sound controller, which this version was made between 1983 and 1986, and after some deliberation, I eventually decided to buy the sound controller for £15 as I wanted to make my model trains sound more realistic with sound. So I thought that I might show you a demo of my new Hornby R936 Sound Generator. It's easy to connect without another mains transformer lead as it's powered by the train controller and the rails; all you have to do is connect the controller wires to the train controller in the same socket as the track control wires and connect the sound controller's track control wires to the track as the track requires an additional power connecting clip in order for the sound controller to work in sync with the train. I'm hoping to get Hornby's R588 Station Announcer system next to fit into my Swindon Station building, which is a battery powered speaker.
