FM House is a contemporary residence located in Valle de Calamuchita, Argentina, designed by Alarciaferrer Architects. The house offers ample space to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding nature and features a green roof that integrates it into the landscape. The proposal of the house is to divide the program into two, creating two autonomous houses that adapt to the needs of those who use them. The "lower house" has a more intimate relationship with the land and the nearby views, while the "upper house" seeks a more intense relationship with the distant views of the lake, mountains, and steep slope. Low-maintenance materials balance the presence of the house with the environment in which it is located. The incorporation of courtyards allows for better lighting and ventilation of the spaces, emphasizing its linear character and generating a precise scale with the imposing context. The main gallery is the meeting point of the house, focusing its layout on the colorful hill.
