2022 Ford Expedition Timberline vs Explorer Timberline | Size Comparison and Off Road

👋 Today we take a look at the all new 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline alongside the new 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline and see how they compare size wise! I also do a quick POV drive up and down a gravel road to feel out a bit of their off road capabilities and features! The new Ford Expedition Timberline is a very well sized SUV with plenty of space even in the third row seat. So much space in the Expedition. The Timberline trim also makes it have so many off road features like the massive 15.5in Sync 4A screen with 360 cameras. 4x4 and locking differential with multiple drive modes make this very capable off road. The 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline also has pretty good space. The third row is significantly smaller and really just there in a pinch. But you can tell its a good next size smaller. Ford Explorer seems a bit dated for the 2022 model year with a smaller screen and very small cameras. While it also has the 4x4, drive modes and 360 view, it doesn't have nearly the same approach angle, breakover angle or ground clearance. So I feel like the 2022 Expedition Timberline will do better off road as long as the trails aren't too tight. 2022 Expedition Timberline interior is very nice looking! 2022 Explorer Timberline interior is also very cool with the fabric accents.
