Coastal areas will get some relief thanks to a steady sea breeze and Gulf water temps in the upper 70s, which will help keep highs along the shore in the mid-80s. Inland communities, however, will heat up quickly, near 90° by Thursday, and low to mid-90s by the weekend, especially before the sea breeze arrives. Rain chances remain slim, with high pressure firmly in control through the middle of next week. Looking long term, there’s a possibility of a pattern shift late next week, which could bring a brief break from the heat, but for now, that’s just something to watch, not something in the forecast.
