Australian Football Video of the Geelong Cats' march to the 1994 AFL Grand Final. Round by round action and feature interviews John Barnes and Peter Riccardi. From the video cover: "Was it the year the Cats came of age? After plenty of near misses since 1989's memorable Grand Final defeat against Hawthorn plenty of people think so. For this was the year Geelong stood up and was counted. It was never easy for Malcolm Blight's side and there were setbacks along the way, but his side had a steel about it forerunners may have lacked. In the middle it was there to be seen in the outstanding Garry Hocking. In the back half you could see it in Stephen O'Reilly. In attack you'd look no further than Gary Ablett, and once again he thrilled with his sheer artistry. It was the Finals that Geelong left its mark on season '94. The Cats surged from mid-table mid-season to play some breathtaking football in the playoffs. Billy Brownless' goal after the siren to sink Footscray, Gary Ablett's dramatic post-siren goal against North, their demolition of Carlton without G.Hocking, Couch and Bairstow... it was a run which climaxed against the Eagles on Grand Final day. History will judge the Cats on their performance that afternoon and sadly it was a long way short of their best. But the road to that dark day was laden with golden moments.
