Dynamite is said to come in small packages, and this could not be truer for the outgoing and charismatic presence that is Farrah Mia. Coming from a multicultural background of both Irish and Indian decent, Farrah has always had a taste for diversity and love for adventure in both her life and career. However, her passion for performing originated in her early school days in which she attended the renowned Waterfront Theatre School – taking classes in dance such as modern, ballet and tap, as well as speech and drama. Farrah is no stranger to the camera, and whilst growing up in the beautiful city of Cape Town, she began her modelling career subsequent to winning the first Seventeen magazine cover-look competition at 17. After featuring in numerous television commercials both locally and abroad - for various brands including Investec Bank, Clear Shampoo and Schweppes - her experience in this field allowed her to grow and nurture her true passion for television and presenting. Parallel to her modelling and commercial talents, Farrah was not without drive and ambition to succeed in other areas of her life, including academically. After going on to graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town, Farrah chose to follow her real calling to television and made her national, presenting debut as a host on SABC 2’s “Mela”.
