Mito, Ibaraki: a magical land of pretty plum blossoms and giant eggs (at least for now)... Have you ever heard of Ibaraki? This lesser known Japanese prefecture is located about an hour and a half north east of central Tokyo and is filled with beautiful nature. Last year, I visited Ibaraki to go take photos with the magnificent nemophila flowers of Hitachi Seaside Park and a few weeks ago, I returned for the second time to experience Kairakuen's famous plum blossoms. Come along with me as I visit a uniquely designed shrine, explore a traditional tea house, wander through a land of blooming plum trees, see a surprising animal on a leash, and go to a digital art exhibition in a Japanese garden at night! It was a long and eventful day trip and as always, I'm happy to be able to share it with all of you. Oh, by the way, Ibaraki is famous for natto. I am not a fan of natto - are you? _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Time Stamps: 0:00 - Intro // イントロ 2:25 - Mito Tōshōgū // 水戸東照宮 4:20 - Lunch // ランチ 4:44 - Kairakuen // 偕楽園 7:52 - Traditional Teahouse // 伝統的な茶屋 10:06 - Plum Blossoms // 梅の花 11:07 - A Surprise Visitor // サプライズビジター 12:57 - teamLab // チームラボ 15:11 - Outro // アウトロ ________________________________________________________________________________________ Linktree - https://linktr.ee/ontheworldstage ________________________________________________________________________________________ Instagram - / ontheworldstage ________________________________________________________________________________________ Japanese Subtitles by @NomadicWes ________________________________________________________________________________________ ありがとうございました!
