The Shining Hotel Room 237 Ambience | Interior Wind White Noise, Muffled Music from another Room

In the depths of the Rocky Mountains, Jack Torrance and his son and wife, Danny and Wendy are maintaining the empty Overlook Hotel, abandoned for the winter season. As a writer he hopes to finish writing a promising play to reestablish his career. But as the gloomy winter months drag on, the cold and dark history of the place is taking it’s toll. Soon they discover the hotel is haunted. Tormented by ghosts and visions Jack was driven to the extreme, the insanity manifesting in his mind. With the winter winds howling through the corridors and hallways Danny and his mother Wendy managed to lock the mad man up in the freezer. But Jack got out, and now he’s hunting, stalking slipping deeper into madness, as he’s getting closer to the room the survivors are hiding in. The footage in this video was taken from the nostalgic 1980 horror movie The Shining. The soundscape consists of wind white noise, whistling and howling winter snow storm and distant echoing voice lines of Jack yelling. I also used the vintage 1930s songs from the movie, distorted with several layers of reverb, delay and echo effects to make them more uncanny / liminal and relaxing.
