I Pompieri di Viggiù (Firefighters Viggiù) comes from the 1949 film directed by Mario Mattioli. It is sung by Gigliola Cinquetti. Viggiù is a municipality in the Province of Varese in Italy located about 50 km northwest of Milan on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,148 and an area of 9.3 km². The title is taken from a popular song of the period music by Armando Fragno , author of the music of the film.
