The tunnels form a massive part of Vietnam's troubled history and we built int he 1940's during French colonial times. Once the communist North invaded the Capitalist South with the aid of the Americans, the tunnel network expanded by the Viet Cong. Our first stop is a factory set up for those people affected by Agent range during the Vietnam/American War. The Vietnamese government only offered their people around $30 a month to live on. The factory was set up to help those out with genetic defects as a result of Agent Orange, so they have work and get paid more money. We then stop at the infamous Cu Chi tunnel. we give you a POV experience of what the tour consists of. We are talked through the complexities of the tunnel system and shown how they were formed and how they were used. We are then shown the traps used by the Viet Cong on the Americans. We head to the shooting range before heading into the tunnels.
