When I first learned NLP the main focus was on the doing the techniques on people. As the practitioner I learned step-by-step processes/patterns that I would do 'on' somebody. It was completely normal in that NLP culture for me to say something like "I just did NLP on him" or "She just did NLP on me". When I started learning/practicing Neuro-Semantic NLP one of the differences between NLP vs Neuro-Semantic NLP was the shift from the focus on the process to the focus on the person/relationship. No longer did we do NLP 'on' people, but we practiced our NLP 'with' people. A slightly different way of framing it with massive real-world impact. This shift was not easy for me at first because I had been getting great results with the people that I did NLP 'on', but I have found that the level of relationship that I build with my clients now goes well beyond where it was previously. Overall, this newer way of operating demonstrates a value to your clients well beyond just achieving their primary level outcome. It leaves them much more empowered to take responsibility for their own results, increases their personal power, and it demonstrates as a role model a much more resourceful way of how to relate to other people. ** Receive Jason Schneider's best Neuro-Semantic NLP content: www.perceptionacademy.com/free-nlp-training
