🌸 Today would have been my mother’s 78th birthday (4/2/1948 - 4/3/1981)… and not a day goes by that I don’t miss her. 💔 In honor of her memory, I’m sharing a heartfelt read aloud of "Why a Daughter Needs a Mom" by Gregory E. Lang, pictures by Sydney Hanson and Adapted for picture book by Susanna Leonard Hill 📚 — a beautiful story that speaks to the love, guidance, and bond between mothers and daughters… especially dear to those of us who have lost our moms. 👩‍👧 In rememberance of my mother, Violet, I am reading this story for every motherless daughter, every grieving heart, and anyone who still carries their mother’s love with them each day. 💖 Both of my parents inspired my love for reading, and I’m forever grateful. As a lifelong bibliophile, sharing stories like this is one way I keep their memory alive.
