"FUNHOUSE" by rafer [All Coins] | Geometry Dash 2.2

First of all, this video includes both the normal and coin routes, so make sure to watch the whole video if you're interested! rafer wanted me to include both, since the coin route changes quite a lot of the level. You can see it from 3:04. Secondly, as you may already know, this has been chosen as the next Event level, which is awesome. I've been waiting for rafer's first 2.2 level ever since 2.2 dropped basically, since he made some of my favorite 2.1 levels. This was definitely worth the wait in my opinion. As always, he also made a whole animation to go along with this, which you can find in the pinned comment. The level takes place in a "funhouse" where you have to race through a track that is supposed to be impossible. Throughout the level, you see the host character pop up for most of the parts, and he tries to stop you from completing the level by throwing obstacles at you, even changing your size, and spawning bosses on you. I think it was a great idea to have a reoccuring character in the level like this, as rafer really gets to showcase his fantastic animation skills. While I'm sure it's more tedious to do animation in Geometry Dash than by hand like he does, it ended up very smooth. This character and others found throughout the level, like the boss from 2:05, really make the level feel alive. I think some parts leave a bit to be desired in pure designs and backgrounds, such as at 1:17, but I don't really mind it overall thanks to the amazing character animation on top. Also, of course we can't talk about this level's animations without mentioning the special cutscene seen at 6:40, which is only seen if you get all three coins in one run! Doing this much for the coins is certainly a rafer thing, but I didn't expect it to be this cool. Each coin is also very fun, having their own custom game modes, seen at 3:53, 4:57, and 6:18, and they're not too hard to do this time around. I'd definitely go for them if I were you! I haven't mentioned the gameplay yet, which is one of the main reasons I always like rafer's levels a lot. They're very straightforward, flowing very smoothly from part to part. This level does have a lot of animations, effects, and some 2.2 tools in play, which does make it slightly harder to sightread than earlier rafer levels. It's still kept easy, though, and the arrows help you out in the most chaotic parts. Overall, I think this may just be my personal favorite Event level yet, so I'm very glad RobTop agreed to give it to this.
