He braves the march, leaves coil round his feet, Autumn winds dance in his hair. A bird flutters by and lands to his ear, Westwards now sinking the Sun. "Lo," sang to him a voice from the glade, "Who treads these paths in this soulless age? Goes there a man of the book or the blade?" And flowers bowed where he passed. He never knew where this road would go, Yet sylvans remained at his side. Spirits of green whispered in silence A story of honour and pride. A love lost he knew many seasons ago, Verses to her he clutched inside.
