Dale travelled to small town Appalachia, the 13 state area that stretches through the eastern mountains from the Southern Tier of New York to Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. During his travels, he searched for and gathered stories from the "Most Positive Person in Town," folks nominated by their fellow townspeople. He has met people who have overcome tremendous difficulties ranging from loss of loved ones, devastation from tornadoes, and growing up in abusive households to going ashore on the second wave of the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach in Normandy.
