Yes, this is a remake of that well-known Mega Drive game (which wasn't official), but it would be a remake with improvements. However, the "Super Donkey Kong 99" deluxe remake project, even with its potential, didn't find its way to further development due not only to the programming limitations I had at the time (2021-2022-2023) but also to the outdated physics in the source code and time (lack of time to develop new graphics, etc). I don't rule out the possibility of this project returning someday, but at the moment I have no plans. And that's why it's scrapped. "Vs. Donkey Kong Country" (still without source code, as I haven't developed anything yet) has taken its place. All the levels of Super Donkey Kong 99 Deluxe would have bonuses, unlike the original Mega Drive game which had no bonuses, was more clunky, and had several meaningless sounds. This project would also include a map (the map sample shown in the video is not finished). And to give it a new life for the fan game, rats and Kremlings would also get new sprites. The sprites of the models from Kiddy Kong's Challenge/Kiddy Kong's Showtime were used as placeholders. And I didn't even have time to finish the first level of the game... since I never showed anything of the game (that I remember) on the channel, I'm posting it today. Sorry for the lack of time! I'm totally busy making sure all this year's releases come out, so the sooner I get ahead, the more chances there are for more releases to happen.
