All About the Tokay Gecko! | How to Care for the Tokay Gecko

In this video, I give an overview of facts, information, and how to care for the Tokay Gecko! Gekko gecko. I give up to date information such as where these animals are from, how they make sound, bite force, general anatomy, diet, humidity and temperatures, and other care for this amazing reptile. I also show me getting bit by a tokay gecko. These reptiles are unique and similar to other geckos in terms of being nocturnal, scansorial, and arboreal which makes their enclosure and lifestyle require specific needs. They are also one of the few reptiles to create sound using their larynx. They get their name from the distinctive sound they make which sounds like “Tokay”. There is also information on what to do if you can no longer care for a tokay gecko and what you should not do. These reptiles are invasive especially in Florida.
