The war crimes trial of Liberia's former President Charles Taylor is drawing to a close, which is being held at a UN-backed court in The Hague holds the ex-Liberian leader on 11 charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Ahead of the verdict Al Jazeera's Hasan Patel spoke to Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege on the implications of the case and what it means for Sierra Leone.
